The Rajasthan Teachers Examination Test (RTET) has been delayed for an indefinite period by the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) on Tuesday. RTET was scheduled to be held on 29 December, 2013. The decision came after it was brought to notice that the RTET was coinciding with national level exams like National Eligibility Test (NET) and SSB exams.
RBSE was aware that the RTET date was clashing with other exams and the decision was taken to seek the new government's view on RTET. This exam has faced the anger of designated chief minister Vasundhara Raje.
During several election rallies, she has criticized the exam pattern and advocated changes.
RBSE also clarified saying that a new date has not been announced as they are unable to find a Sunday to conduct this exam. It is likely that the exam may be conducted after the board exams or after May, 2014
